These Terms of Use are entered into by and between you and SENTIENT Furniture Inc.. By accessing or using the SENTIENT Custom Leather website at www.sentientleather.com, configuring leather specifications, requesting samples, placing orders, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the website or related services.

We may update or modify these Terms of Use at any time. When we do, we will update the revision date above. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

You may use the website to explore leather options, configure specifications, request quotes, order samples, save projects, and place production orders subject to these terms and any order-specific confirmations shown at checkout.

Account access is provided through passwordless email verification. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email address associated with your account and for all activity that occurs through your account.

You may not impersonate another person, provide false information, interfere with site security, attempt unauthorized access, scrape or harvest data, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

Digital previews, configurator outputs, and online pricing are estimates based on your selected specification and the pricing settings active at the time of review. Color appearance may vary by screen, lighting, and material batch.

Physical samples remain the source of truth for color match, texture, finish, hand feel, and final approval before production. We strongly recommend ordering a color-matched sample before confirming a production order.

Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable sales tax, shipping, duties, and other charges may be calculated based on your shipping address and shown during checkout or confirmed separately by our studio when checkout is not yet available for a given flow.

Generic sample kits may be offered at no charge before shipping. Color-matched samples are prepared specifically for your project specification and are subject to the sample fee and shipping charges shown at the time of request or checkout.

Sample lead times are estimates and may vary based on studio workload and material availability. Shipping costs are generally not refundable.

If you approve a paid color-matched sample and proceed to a related production order within the credit window stated at checkout or in your order confirmation, the sample fee excluding shipping may be credited against the production total.

Production orders are custom-made to your confirmed specification and quantity. By approving a sample or confirming production, you authorize SENTIENT to proceed using the approved specification, quantity, and pricing shown in your quote or checkout review.

Production lead times are estimates and may change based on material availability, studio scheduling, or project complexity. We will communicate material changes that affect timing or fulfillment when practicable.

Because production leather is made to order, production orders are not eligible for return or exchange except as described in the Returns and Refunds section or where required by law.

When payment is enabled, orders must be paid according to the payment method and total shown at checkout. We may refuse or cancel orders affected by pricing errors, suspected fraud, material unavailability, or other operational issues.

Shipping arrangements and carriers may vary by order type and destination. Unless otherwise stated in writing, risk of loss passes to you upon delivery to the carrier.

You are responsible for providing accurate shipping and contact information. Delays caused by incorrect addresses, failed delivery attempts, or customs processes outside our control are not grounds for a refund of shipping charges.

Color-matched samples may be eligible for return and refund of the sample fee, excluding shipping, according to the return policy stated at checkout or in your order confirmation. Returned samples must be unused and in resalable condition unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Production work is custom and is not refundable unless there is a manufacturing defect or we fail to deliver leather that materially differs from the approved specification. Any claim must be reported promptly with supporting details so we can review production records and, if appropriate, arrange correction or replacement.

Sample requests may be cancelled before they are processed. Production orders may be adjusted or cancelled before custom production begins. Once custom production starts, cancellation or refund is not available except for manufacturing defects or as required by law.

If you claim tax-exempt status, you may be asked to provide valid exemption documentation. We may review, approve, or reject exemption claims before applying exempt treatment to an order.

You are responsible for the accuracy of tax exemption information you submit and for maintaining valid exemption certificates where required by law.

All content on the website, including text, design, graphics, images, logos, previews, software, and pricing interfaces, is owned by SENTIENT or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may use the website for personal or business purchasing purposes related to custom leather projects. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, transmit, or create derivative works from website content without prior written permission.

If you send us comments, feedback, project notes, specifications, images, or other submissions, you grant SENTIENT the right to use, reproduce, and rely on those materials to provide quotes, samples, production, and customer support, subject to our Privacy Policy.

Do not submit confidential information or materials you do not want us to use for project fulfillment.

The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are prohibited by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SENTIENT will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, or project delay arising from or related to your use of the website or any order, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SENTIENT's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the website or an order will not exceed the amount you paid to SENTIENT for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SENTIENT from and against claims, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use of the website, your submissions, your orders, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws require otherwise.
